Wind power is a significant part of Finland's energy production and has grown strongly in recent years. At the end of 2023, there were a total of 1,601 operating wind turbines in Finland, with a capacity of 6,949 MW. In 2023, Finnish wind turbines produced approximately 18 percent of Finland's total electricity consumption.
