  • Wind turbines could increase Finland's electricity production more than tenfold

Considerably more wind power could be built in Finland than is currently the case. In a recent study by Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT, Finland's wind power potential was evaluated in three different scenarios. Finland could even produce more wind power than it itself needs energy and thus some could be exported abroad. Read more about the potential of wind power in the article by Suomen Yleisradio here!
